Jiffy Mart Supports the Baltimore Raven's with a Live Remote and Raven's Rally

August 21, 2010

WESTMINSTER, MD – The Jiffy Mart Main Street store in Westminster rallied on Saturday August 21st from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. to bid adieu to the 2010 session of Raven's Training Camp in Westminster, MD. Both the store and the parking were decorated with purple Raven's banners, window signage, and purple petunias in the yard. The Raven's held their last practice in Westminster for the season, and the team packed up and headed back to their Owings Mills, Maryland Training Complex. Spirits were high and the practices were lively, with the best news of all to celebrate was this. No players were carted off the field for any reason. (Surviving Training Camp from a health status is success by itself and many teams throughout the league have had devastating injuries).

On hand for the event was Poe from the Baltimore Ravens, the TNT Explosion Cheerleaders, and our local Carroll County radio station, WTTR. Free samples of Subway sandwich's, h10o Water, Dynobites Ice cream, and Martin's Potato Chips were doled out for customers to try. The community gathered and WTTR did a live remote and gave away Raven's game tickets. WTTR DJ's and radio legends, Johnny Dark and Jack Edwards were on site to interact with the fans. There were additional giveaways of a Ray Rice Baltimore Raven's Jersey, along with "Baltimore Football Starts Here" T-Shirts by Jiffy Mart.

Tom Moser, General Manager of Jiffy Mart commented that "I'm a big Baltimore Raven's fan, and Jiffy Mart is proud to support them in our community". "Fans visited from both inside and outside the county, and everyone enjoyed having them at training camp in Westminster". "The Raven's Rally was a fun community event for both our customers and associates, and a great time was had by all in attendance".

Jiffy Mart and its parent company, Tevis Oil, support the well being of the community it serves and are well known for their philanthropy. Jiffy Mart operates convenience stores exclusively in Carroll County including Westminster, Finksburg and Hampstead, and provides Hometown Convenience to all of its valued customers.
