During the month of November, Jiffy Mart stores sat “Rex”, a pig shaped bank, on the counters at all four of their locations. Clients shopping in their stores were asked to contribute their extra change to “Rex”. The funds collected were pooled together and given to Shepherd’s Staff to cover prescription costs for people in Carroll County that are uninsured or under insured. Their combined efforts resulted in raising $499.62, which was greatly appreciated.
