Jiffy Mart Supports Shepherd’s Staff Rx Fund

Jiffy Mart helped sponsor a fund raising project during the month of May at all four of it’s locations to provide help to those with critical health care needs in Carroll County.

The funds were raised to assist the Shepherd’s Staff, a Christian Outreach and Support Center in Westminster in its efforts to respond to requests for healthcare assistance from residents of Carroll County. In 2007, they received 777 requests for assistance, up 15% from 2006. Requests for more assistance are expected for 2008.

A coffee bean sign was designed by KoHN Creative of Westminster. Jiffy Mart donated the cost of the design and KoHN Creative donated the printing. Customers at Jiffy Mart donated a dollar or more and signed a coffee bean sign, which was posted in each store. The proceeds, amounting to $921.88, were given to the Shepherd’s Staff by Debbi Frank, Jiffy Mart General Manager, to use at its discretion.

Jiffy Mart and its parent company, Tevis Oil support the well being of the community it serves and are well known for their philanthropy. Jiffy Mart operates four convenience stores in Carroll County and provides Hometown Convenience to all of its valued customers.
